Utility of FDG PET-CT and New Tracers in Assessing Neurocognitive Brain Pathology
This course comprises two tutorials in total: tutorial one provides an overview of the background of dementia; basic principles of imaging for dementia diagnosis; clinical indications; evidence base: typical uptake in dementia subtypes; imaging algorithm; and costs and radiation doses. Tutorial two covers the molecular basis of FDG PET; procedure guidelines; image review and Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) software; and interpretation and reporting guidelines.
It is expected that candidates have prior knowledge of FDG PET-CT imaging before undertaking the tutorials.
Suitable for radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians who already have experience reporting FDG PET-CT scans for Oncology, and those who would like to explore the role of F18 FDG imaging in assessing neurocognitive brain pathology.
